How to tell a story with Ira Glass

The process of storytelling hinges on finding the right story. Whether you are a journalist, an entrepreneur or just like to have interesting conversations at cocktail parties, you can learn something from Ira. I think any story can be interesting, however. The "right story" may just be a version of an existing message that uniquely resonates. Practice sharing your idea in lots of different variations and you will begin to discover the right story for you and your audience.

Join the fight against prostate cancer #Movember

I have decided to join a global movement that is bringing much needed attention to prostate cancer.  I’m doing this by growing a Moustache this Movember, the month formerly known as November.  My commitment is to grow a moustache all November to change the face of men’s health and I want you to join me.

The funds we raise during our Moustache journey go to Prostate Cancer Canada.

What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men with 25,500 diagnosed and 4,400 dying from the disease each year. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved.

Join me in changing the face of men's health.<br />

Saying "crazy shit" on the internet

A respected friend and colleague accused me of saying "crazy shit" online a few days ago. I don't think he actually spends time reading what I post online, but ces't la vie. Here is one of my favorite interviews from Scout Magazine.
